Gluten Free Goodies for your Holiday Season

Sugar Plum Bakery in Kingston MA, opened their doors in 2007. They have quickly become a South Shore favorite, as Reader’s Choice named Sugar Plum the best bakery in Kingston 5 years running as well as receiving the bronze award for the region in 2011. They have also established the title of Best of Theknot.com and Brides Choice on Weddingwire.com in 2011. Owners, Paula Barry and Johanna Lyons, have accomplished a great reputation and a delicious product not only to your usual customer, but also for those with gluten sensitivities and allergies to gluten. Gluten Free products at Sugar Plum have been in development for at least a year but rolled out only recently. As one of employees who has the allergy, has convinced us to develop gluten free treats that not only serve their flour sensitivity needs but also their taste buds. Now trying everyday to provide gluten free cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies, it has a created a cult following! Even the boss will eat the gluten free chocolate chip cookies over the regular cookies, just because they taste so darn good. So if you’re looking for your holiday season goodies, or just a cookie to munch on, stop by Sugar Plum. Eat, create and bring out your inner locavore by supporting a local bakery with the reputation and the taste to prove it.
