Raised with Love! We raise Belted Galloway because they are extremely hardy and thrive in our New England winters with their shaggy coats. Raised on grass, these animals produce a superior beef product. Here at Weir River farm our cattle are fed grass every day of their lives and are in the pasture until the day they head to market. Most commercially raised beef spends just a small window of their lives on grass, then head to confinement where they are fed a diet of mostly corn.

For those of you that have been eagerly awaiting the return of the pork, we are excited to say that it will be here next weekend. The Tamworth is a heritage breed, once popular in small farms in England. As larger, profit-driven farm operations became the norm, this friendly breed became endangered because it is slower to reach market weight. We believe that good things come to those who wait, and the proof is in this delicious pork.

Here at Weir River, our cattle is out in the pasture all year and most days you can see them from Turkey Hill Lane. Our pigs graze in the fields and woods – you can see them from the trails. We do not feed any of our livestock hormones, steroids, or antibiotics. (As we always say, these animals were raised with love!)

For either the beef or pork sales, you can enter the farm via our 228 entrance and park behind the red barn. We will accept cash, checks, and credit cards for purchases. Our office phone number is 781.740.7233 for any questions.
